Out and About with Mommy

I needed a good reason to get out of the house today, and what better reason than shopping!! Abby will soon learn its a great way to spend daddy's money!! We went to Barnes & Noble, which had an adorable kiddie play area where Abby played on the train table; and then we stopped by Petsmart and watched the fish & birds do their thing--she's been watching Roxy & Jackson run around wrestling for the last week, so I'm sure she loved seeing a different animal for a change! She loved both experiences, so we may be frequenting these venues more often.

....And yes, her sippy cup is in a beer coozie.....it absorbs all the condensation quite nicely from the cold water and actually gives the cup a better grip for her slippery little hands! I figured this one out this morning as I was running out the door! Maybe I'm onto something....

Crib Cuteness

So she had just woken up from a nap this morning, and Jackson and I went upstairs to get her!

Showing off her cute white teeth with her squishy face smile!
Looking around the room for Jackson (who was busy sniffing her toys)

Bathtime Fun with Jackson

No matter how many times I say "sit down", she loves to stand up!!
Sharing bath toys with Jackson!
Playing with her ducky (faucet cover)
Jackson was eyeballing those floating toys......not enough to jump in though
A new hair-do!! Now that the messy mane is getting longer, I can play with it!!

Doggie time

Abby loves being outside with the dogs....and believe it or not, she picks the grass and never eats it!
Chillin with the dogs!
Sharing toys with Jackson...he's just her size.....for now!
Good 'ol Tug-of-war
Abby gets a kick out of watching the dogs play together! Pure entertainment!

Mommy's night out.....

This past Saturday night, my spouses club had our "2/3rds Party" marking our countdown to our spouses returning home! We rented a limo for the night which drove us from base to dinner and a bar, and back home! Luckily Grandma Donna, Grandpa Ron, and Aunt Amy were on hand to babysit Abby and my girlfriend's son Tyler while we were away enjoying ourselves.

The two of them enjoyed standing to watch the dogs (Jackson & Roxy) run around the kitchen after each other!
Here's Abby with her squish face smile!!!!

Tongue, tongue, tongue

These days the tongue is hanging out in full force! To the left, to the right, straight down the middle, you name it, she does it!

The top teeth are arriving

Here's a half-decent shot of Abby's top teeth coming in! The top left one is about 1/3 of the way in, and the right is still breaking through the gum line. Her new spine tingling habit is grinding these new top/bottom teeth together!! Its soooo gross....but she's discovering new things with these teeth everyday!

New Basket Tricks

Abby's new favorite past time is sitting/climbing in baskets! Its like a challenge for her. And Grandma Donna bought her a new purple toy basket for the living room to keep all her toys in one place.
Yes, she climbed in all by herself....after 20 minutes of trying to figure out how she'd fit!
I swear, she sat in this basket of toys for at least 30 minutes! I had to remove her against her will in the end.
"Grandma Donna gives the best bottles" (NO! They didn't match on purpose!!)
First sip from a wine glass.....its just water!!!
Did someone say....."CHEESE"!!!! She's such a ham! This is her squishy face smile when she is being silly in front of the camera!

Beyond her boundaries.....

It seems she is eager to help fold laundry (I mean, pull it all onto the floor)! She just didn't understand why the dryer door kept swinging closed on her after she pushed it open!
And then her first trip OUT the doggie-door!! Success on the first try. She followed Roxy's lead of course.
And alas, she had to come back in!!

Stairs Stairs Stairs

Abby is now a stair afficionado!! She loves to climb, and getting to the top is just a bonus.....I kept grabbing her and taking her back down to do it again, and again, and again.....

14 Million Dollar Fountain and a visit with Great-Grandma Fran

The city of San Pedro recently built a 14 Million Dollar $$$ "Bellagio"-type water fountain by the waterfront that does a water display to music, and has the invisible water edge along the walkway that you can put your hands/feet in! So we took part in getting wet!
Those are the "flipper" water sprayers above "dancing" to the music.
Great-Grandma Fran & Abby
We went over to Great-Grandma Frans for a visit and Abby's favorite part was the antique wood stacker at the fireplace. She decided it was a good place to sit and relax! Just her size!!

Lunch with Great-Grandpa Jerry & Helen

Great-Grandpa Jerry & Great-Grandma Helen.....out to lunch for fabulous mexican food!
Mommy and Abby (the patio was red tile, so thats why there's a glow)
Silly Grandma Donna.......and silly Abby of course

Reiss House-Sept San Pedro Visit

Great-Grandpa Reiss & Abby spending time on the couch....with mommy's makeup bag!
Ahhhh....bottle time!!! Isn't it nice to have someone else hold your bottle sometimes!!
Abby was helping Great-Grandma Paulette clean out her kitchen drawer.
Abby and Pierre (the bird), making "conversation".....they both spoke different languages!!
Abby's turn at the ritual "deep-sink" bath in the Reiss house.
