Maddy starting to walk

Maddy is so funny. We know she has the ability to walk.....she just crawls! This was a funny clip of her attempting to push her new lawn mower she got for the holidays. But instead she is picking it up with one hand and trying to walk.....too funny.

Final 2010 Misc Pics!

 Abby LOVES to draw. And in the last few months, she has perfected her "happy face" drawings. She did this ALL by herself, and loves to show her masterpieces off!

 Maddy loves the phone, and pretty much imitating ANYTHING we do these days. You can't leave a remote control or phone anywhere near her......she is a path of destruction, so we call her!

Here she is with the phone up to her ear! "Ayyyy" is her version of hi!

SNOW...SNOW.....oh, and more SNOW!!!

 So....it SNOWED again!!!!! Last night we got a few inches before midnight, and then woke up to 6+ on the ground!

 Mike went out and cleared a path for the dog off the back steps since you couldn't even tell we had steps it was so thick! It is very powdery, and we went out once with the girls for a bit.

 Abby wasn't too impressed this time. I think she likes the snow better when its done snowing. While we were outside it was blowing the snow sideways in her face, just not as enjoyable!

 Maddy was a trooper as usual! She like it until her face was covered in snowflakes!

 I think we will end up with 12-18 inches total for this storm! Most EVER for us in our time here!!

Christmas 2010 @ The Smiths

 This was our first holiday in a LONG time that we spent alone! It was nice to have it be quiet, but I missed the company of family and the fun that the kids have when others are around too! For Christmas eve we had a wonderful meal at home, and then took the girls in the car down to the oceanfront where they do a car drive on the boardwalk so you can see the light display they put up! Its a fun 15 min drive filled with fun displays of dinosaurs, sea creatures and icons she knows!!

 Abby is really starting to talk about words and letters and what they start with, so this will be fun to work with. Of course the one letter she always knows is "A" for Abby. Anytime she sees an "A" in a word, she insists it says Abby!!

 2nd Gift.......an Aquadoodle water floor drawing mat from Aunt Brenda, Uncle Craig & Sheila!

 Abby doing her new favorite thing.....SINGING! She loves singing her favorite princess songs! Grandma Smith got her this fun music player. It lets us upload songs online and then she can play them and sing along!And she is doing it adorned by one of her new dress-up hats that I got the girls!

 Aquadoodle fun! A little water can't do any damage.....until Maddy comes over and tips the "spill-proof cup" and makes a mess!

Abby decorating her very own sugar cookies! I looked the other way and just let her do as she pleased. After dumping an entire container of sprinkles on one cookie, she figured out the shake technique pretty well!

Carousel

I took the kids to the mall last week to run errands, and without even seeing it, Abby remembered that mall had a carousel. She kept begging to go ride, so we did! And she picked her very own horse on the 2nd level! She would have rode over and over......if it were free.....and if I wasn't getting motion sick!

Aquarium.....again

We made a trip to our local aquarium since we hadn't been in a while. Abby loved it and Maddy wanted to touch all the fish tanks!

First Snow

First snow fall of the season! Woke up to this the other day. And today it is snowing again, about 1" so far and still falling! At least Mike is home for it this year!

 Maddy loves anything around her neck....necklaces are abundant around here! Mike hates them!! Oh well, he will soon learn she will always win!

 Maddy now has her top two and bottom two teeth! She eats the same things, and she's cute!

 We call this her "Justin Bieber" look! Especially after the bath, her hair is so soft and fine and just falls into her face. (Bieber is a current teenie bopper pop icon......with a funny hair-do)

 "I can't walk yet......but I love to stand up all by myself!"

 This is SO Maddy. You know she is tired when she starts laying down on things! 

I found her on the floor (below) just like this after I left the room to start laundry. Came back to her all snuggled up. 

 Again with things around her neck. She loves Abby's leopard scarf and puts it on all by herself!
