Indoor weekend fun

We had a very uneventful and quiet weekend at home, so of course that involved the camera and some silly & cute faces!

Oh, so Abby's 2nd most favorite thing aside from Maddy simply touching her, is when Maddy pretends to sleep in her big girl bed with her. Maddy is always so chill sitting there while we clean up Abby's room at the end of the day and then Abby pretends she's tired and climbs in bed with her.

Propped up on the couch....Abby came in and screached "ahhhh she sit up mommy" (as if she did it on her own!! too funny)

And we squeezed in some chalk time outside. Abby woke up from her nap and saw that it was sunny outside so I suggested some drawing. Requiring a jacket and sunglasses of course! She chose the blue and yellow chalk which adorns our back steps at the moment!

BUMBO time! I LOVE LOVE her thick little feet!

Sisters

Abby's most favorite thing in the world these days is when Maddy pulls her hair or touches her in any fashion! She gets so excited and yells running to tell me (EVERY TIME!!!) that she touched her (even if it meant shoving her face in front of Maddy or hanging her hair close to her hand). Little does she know, those hair pulls are going to HURT pretty soon when it is intentional!!

When I laid Maddy down on the bear rug, Abby asked if she could lay there too! Of course she was thrilled that Maddy touched her shoulder!!

This was just too funny last night. Her shirt got stuck as we were trying to take it off, and I just had to take a picture.....she actually laughed too!

I made it in a photo!!! Abby's new haircut. We took off about 2 inches.
Maddy in her cute new bib my Navy friend Amy made for her! Too adorable and very appropriate since she is the spitiest baby ever! I don't know how she has gotten so chunky since she seems to spit half of it up! Oh well....healthy and happy nonetheless! And CUTE!

Final Moments with Great-Grandparents in February

We had a wonderful visit, lots of quality time with the girls, and lots of help for ME!!

I even got in a last minute pedicure this morning while they stayed home with Abby. Maddy came with me and slept thru her first nail salon experience. Her loss....my gain!

During their visit with us, Abby got her 2nd haircut & Maddy had a 1st as she started cooing/"talking"!

Abby & Maddy loved the attention!! There weren't very many moments of empty arms in this house this last week! Thank you for making the trip, and making it fun and enjoyable!

Great-Grandparents February Visit "1st Half of the trip"

Great Grandma/Grandpa Reiss are visiting from California for a week to see their 2nd Great Granddaughter Madelyn for the 1st time!!! Here are some of our moments together. The extra hands and arms have been so wonderful.

Abby found a play doctor's kit that I had tucked away in her closet and frankly I'd forgotten all about! So we broke it out and it was a hit! She went around checking everyone with the stethescope, and handing out medicine from the fake pill bottle! Hmmmm....future doctor??

We had a wonderful visit with my mom last weekend! It was quick, but she got a lot of quality time with both her granddaughters! Here are some photos of our time together!

Grandma Donna has been here all weekend spending time with us (mostly indoors because it still has get to get above the mid 40's out here!!!) enjoying her 2 special girls!

Bumbo!

With Maddy, I've really enjoyed going through all those standard milestones as I did the 1st time around, but even better is that they usually involve some toy or aparatus that used to be Abby's (good thing we held onto everything....and had the room to store it all!). Brings back a lot of fun memories! I finally remembered she is big enough for her bumbo seat! Its great because she likes to sit more upright than her floor chair allows, so this way she can really see whats going on around her at her level.

Below are photos of Abby when she used the bumbo about a month older than Maddy is now! Aside from the hemangioma on her face, I'd SWEAR this was maddy!!!! Maddy's already outgrown this purple outfit! She's easily got 2+ pounds on Abby's weight at this age!

Dress Up!!

Abby's favorite thing these days is definitely dress-up! I really need to get a trunk full of fun costumes for her to wear-- without me worrying if they rip or get dirty!! Even better, ones she can put on more or less by herself!!

While I was getting Maddy ready for bed, Abby came in with her accessories and insisted I put them on her! Lucky me she even posed!! Must be a star in the making!

And the snow repeats....

It started snowing at 12:30pm today...so I wanted to get the before/after!

This snow is more wet than the last batch so it seems to stick to everything. Last week's was very dry and made it impossible to even make a decent snowball nonetheless a snowman! I attempted neither, but still figured I compare the two types!

Then 3 hours later..........@ 4:30pm

And it is still coming down.....so if it continues I will post the next set!
