Boo Boo Update!

The raised lump is 100% gone this morning, as I expected! And surprisingly she didn't even wake up in the middle of the night with a headache.....strangely I actually woke up with one (maybe its sympathy pain). Either way I'm happy she is back to normal. Happy ending!!

First boo-boo

So we encountered our first boo-boo today. Abby tripped and fell on the linoleum in the dining room and landed smack on the middle of her forehead. She barely cried....but moments later a bump arose! Poor kid. We tried to ice it but she resisted full force. It subsided much after the first hour, so I'm hoping its gone when she wakes up in the morning.

Visit to the beach

We took a trip down to Mugu Beach today to let Abby walk in the sand for the first time. It was a bit sketchy at first, she wasn't too keen on having her shoes off, but we reassured her and she got the hang of it before long!

A Saturday with Grandpa Ron

Grandmpa Ron came to visit for the weekend, so today we took Abby to the park to play on base! We had the whole park to ourselves, and had a great time as you can see.

There's Abby running loose in the field chasing the birdies! She was making the sign language sign for bird at them. I can't imagine why they didn't want to come play with her!!

Fun with friends...Chad & Jenni

Amazingly we got a good amount of adult time on Saturday to spend time with our friends Chad & Jenni who came up from Long Beach to visit us for the day! The weather was spectacular, so we sat outside all afternoon to bbq and watch Abby play.

Chad & Jenni used to work with Mike at KPMG in Sacramento! Glad we've stayed in touch!!

We took a drive down to Mugu to show them the base, and Abby had a good time watching seals and pelicans in the inlet, and walking around the parking lot.

After a long day we went to dinner......Abby sat in her first booster seat in the booth with us, it seems to work better than a high chair. She loves to sit between us and really be at the table.
Oh, and she loved eating with the giant fork!
