Up Close

Abby loves getting up close and personal with Sesame Street now that she's tall enough to reach everything.

Spagetti Fun

Okay, so I finally broke down and let the kid be messy! She's at the stage where she seems to want flavor in her food (go figure!!). I offered her the same pasta/veggie/turkey-dog dish yesterday with no sauce, and she rejected it, and ate some of the turkey dog. Then today I offered her the same thing but coated in tomato sauce, and she devoured it all!! It was fun to watch!

"I'm funny.....ha mommy!!"
" Eewww...I think its in my eye....."
"Yumm.....this bowl tastes good with sauce too!!"
"Just one more bite mom"
"All done!".....Roxy waiting patiently as usual for a mishap noodle!

Abby and the Baby Einstein Caterpillar....she loves it!
Climbing on mr. caterpillar
Who knew you could chew on your own finger and get your foot chewed on at the same time!!

So sweet!

Head on the table......she got her first ear infection poor thing!! So she was tugging on that ear constantly.
Oh, just Abby being Abby

Ventura Fair Day

Today was military appreciation day at the fair, so we got in free!! We walked around for about 3 hours looking through the display tents, the animals, and food of course!
Abby & the baby donkey
Abby & the baby goat!
Piglets!!! These pigs were so cute eating from their mommy!!
Abby's favorite part of the day was the shuttle ride to/from the fair on the school bus (also free!!); She loved holding onto the seat in front of her with the wind blowing in her face like it was a ride! Figures the kid would like the free non-entertainment portion of the day most. We went with Britany Ek and her friend Natalie.

Swinging in Action

Okay, so don't laugh at me, because now matter how many times Mike corrects me, I still forget that you can't turn the camera sideways when taking a video!!! Who knew, right?? Silly me. Anyways, tilt your head to the left and you can enjoy watching Abby swing!

Swings!!

We've discovered the park swings, and they are a hit! She loves holding on while I push her! She's a very brave little girl! She just kicks her feet and smiles......I couldn't ask for more rewarding fun!

Mommy & Abby
And Great-Grandma Paulette & Grandpa Bob came to visit today, so here they are at lunch!

Zebra fun!!

I got this cute bouncy zebra toy from a friend as a hand-me-down! Its great! She can't get on/off by herself yet, but she crawls up to it and pulls up to her feet, then I set her on the seat and she holds on while watching Sesame Street! Then she likes when I bounce it up and down for her since she can just touch her tippy toes to the base! It makes noise (zebra noises!) and lights up too~very interactive!

Friends!!

I babysat for my girlfriend Eleanor last weekend, so she brought Tyler over (14 months old--he can walk & run!!) and he and Abby played for nearly 3 hours in the living room!

Kids....hard at work
My Silly girl!

Abby getting rough with the big boy! He didn't mind the ear tug! Sorry Tyler!

More pool time!

Today's playgroup gathering was at the Point Mugu kiddie pool and we had a blast! We brought our chicken nuggets to eat for lunch, which she loved!! And then we swam with the big kids! This pool is shallow around the outer edge, then gets a little deeper towards the center! But it was 85 degrees in the water, very nice!

Little miss pouty face! She loves to scrunch up those lips!
And the tongue comes out too! She loves crawling in the water and licking it as she goes!
Abby and Reagan Fox! The girls love her!!
And here's my worn out little swimmer! It was a long morning and she pooped out on the way home.

Pool time!

Okay, so it hasn't quite hit "hot" around here, so we've had to go swimming anyways! This was a slightly warmer day (maybe 75 or so), and the sun was out!
My friend Eleanor and her son Tyler came to the pool with us this day! This pool has a fun mushroom in the center that sprinkles water down into the pool! The kids didn't quite know what to think about it.

Dog bed- Not just for dogs anymore

Roxy is learning, as I am, that Abby is now taking over the house! She crawled right over and decided to play in the dog bed....oh well, Roxy figures she still has the couch until Abby's big enough to climb!
What a look!!!!

Pulling up!!!

Abby loves her new table toy that my friend Amy brought over now that her kids have outgrown it! It was the first thing she learned to pull herself up on!

This girl loves the shoes!! Who knew they tasted so good!!

We've progressed from just crawling, and now she can pull up onto just about everything to a standing position. She learned that in just a day! So now my couch isn't a safe-haven from the floor anymore! Its all her territory!! And the 2nd shelves on the bookcases are now empty because of her new discovery!
