Ear Surgery....Hoping for the best

Abby had her first (hopefully only...but I'm not holding my breath) ear tube "installation" surgery this morning. She went under general anesthesia via gas, and was only out of my arms for about 15 minutes total! She's a trooper, and we're hoping this solves her recurring ear infections for a good while. Thanks to all who said prayers for her.

Lunch with Jenni

We had a very nice lunch with our good friend Jenni Balbach this week in Camarillo. Mike used to work with her at KPMG in Sacramento and she now lives down south! So we were happy to get to see her, and she got to meet Abby for the 1st time!

Okay, so I know its been like a WEEK since I last posted photos....I'm a little distracted with Mike's upcoming return, so the camera went on the back burner for a few days! We're back in action though!! Here she is!!

Steinbach Visit in LA

We had a fabulous visit with my good friend Cailin today at her brother/sister-in-law's house in LA while she was in town visiting. Caleb is 6 days older than Abby, and they had a great time interacting together all day! Playing, eating, and sleeping!! What else is there to do!!

Climbing!

Just yesterday Abby mastered how to climb onto her zebra bouncer all by herself! Swinging her leg over the back and pulling herself up! She can get off by herself too!! Awwww...independence!!!

Kindermusik!

I enrolled Abby in a local "Kindermusik" mommy and me type music class! It is fabulous, here are some photos from our class this week. Her favorite part is the drums at the end of class, can you tell!!

Our friend Jack came with us to class today to try it out! He had lots of fun too!

Clubhouse Fun Zone-Camarillo

Today we had a special visit to the "Fun Zone" in Ventura, not far from our house. It was a great indoor playhouse for kids up to age 6! There was a great tree house with 2 slides, a ball pit, a jumpy house, and much more! Abby played for 2 hours straight, all by herself!!

Yes, Abby's new favorite pastime is kissing babies in books! She also kisses her baby dolls....pretty much everything endearing except for mommy!!! She even gives a good "smack" after each kiss....its a little delayed from the contact, but its cute (every time!!).

Halloween 2008

Well, the night has come and gone already, but it was fun to get out! Mike's skipper's wife Patty had a group of us over for a spooky night of fun, colorful drinks and all! Abby came along, but went to bed before the rest of us....she had a great time!
