Summer Vacation- Disney Day 2

Our first and second mornings at the parks were early days for California Adventure! Of course we park hopped a bit those days. But in the mornings we took full advantage of CA Adventure and no lines on most rides!!
This trip we did things much more relaxed. We did the parks from 6:30am (in line to get in) til noon, and went back to the room each day to swim and relax. Then back out for dinner and more park time each night! It was the perfect combination!!
The girls on Day 2, re-wearing their princess hair that they slept in!
Our hotel pool and slides!! Maddy loved laying in the low level water, and Abby LOVED the monorail water slides!!
Unplanned this trip, we caught a TON of new characters, shows and parades on the fly!
This street performance was fun and the girls got to join in on the dancing!
Maddys ALL-TIME favorite ride this trip! CA Adventure's kiddie Bug's Life area.......the "Heimlich the Caterpillar" ride. She loves it because you tram through his favorite foods and you actually get to smell them as you pass by the animal crackers and watermelon! Then he burps.....her FAVORITE part!!! She's been imitating this for a week since we've been home!!
We caught the CA Adventure parade!
And we caught the Disneyland parade! Mary Poppins!!!
And that was all just DAY 2!!!

Princesses for a Day!!

One thing we did different this trip is we booked the girls appointments at the "BIBBITY BOBBITY BOUTIQUE" at Disneyland! Its a Princess parlour of sorts in Fantasyland at Sleeping Beauty's castle. You pick a package, a hair-do, bring/buy a princess dress, and they transform you child into a princess! I had my doubts.....but the results were amazing and worth every penny of the girls enjoyment!
We did it the morning we arrived, so they could wear their hair/dress all day. And then they slept in it and wore the hair as it was again on our second day! SO-MUCH-FUN!!!!
They did their hair, makeup, and painted their nails!!! Complete with a "Princess" sash and of course a dusting of magical pixie dust!!!

Maddy went first!

This video is of Maddy's reveal! They spin her around to the mirror, and magic happens and she sees her transformation!!

Then it was Abby's turn!!

The girls both chose different hair styles......and LOVED the results!!
The other special touch, was ALL day thereafter throughout the park, EVERY park member addressed them as "Princesses" when they got on rides, entered the parks and such! They definitely received the royal treatment all day! Such a special memory!!

Summer Vacation- Disney Day 1

I apologize in advance, but there were so many great memories captured on this Disney trip I just had to share them!!
On this Disney visit, we stayed for 5 days/nights, and stayed at the Disneyland Hotel (last time we stayed at the Grand Californian). Memories follow........
6:30am.....Waiting for California Adventure to open on our first day!!
(We were at the gates EACH morning by 6:45 to get in for the Magic Morning Hour!!!)
 Picture time with Mater
 Toy Story 3D Ride
 First time meeting Pluto
First time meeting the Evil Queen
 She tried hard!!
Our hotel room! The headboard lights up and sings a song!
 Star Tours 3D
Our first night Grandma Donna & Henry came for a few hours to ride with the girls!

Dogs and Girls!

After our San Francisco weekend in June, we brought Jackson home with us to dog-sit!
The girls love having him around! And Abby loves walking him.
Maddy helped me cook dinner one night.
 Morning walks with two dogs
 Jackson snuggles!!

End of Another Quarter.......and a new job!!!

Mid-June we went out to celebrate the end of another quarter for Mike.
At our favorite wine bar of course!!

Then the next week we got word that Mike made the list for his next job selection (10 out of about 35 NFOs made the cut)!! Now we wait for 1-3 weeks to hear where & when we go in 2015!!
Tick tock.....tick tock!!!!
