Monterey Aquarium Sleepover

Two weeks ago Abby and I, and my friend Casey and her son Carter all did the "Monterey Bay Aquarium Sleepover" (they do it a few times a year, and also during the summer months)! We showed up at 7pm, got behind the scene tours of the aquarium (which were SOOO amazing and worthwhile), had cookies/milk before bed, lights out at midnight, lights back on at 7am, and finally breakfast in the aquarium cafe before heading home.

Oh and we slept with the JELLYFISH!!!! You had choices where to setup your sleeping gear!

Definitely a unique experience the kids will remember for a long time!

 This is going to be a fun summer---after the kids go to bed I usually find a new message on the wipe off board that Abby wrote earlier in the day/night! So nice to watch her writing progress.

Sardine Factory Dinner

A few weeks ago our PTA board treated our retiring principal to dinner at The Sardine Factory here in Monterey on Cannery Row. Most of us had never been (myself included) so it was a treat! We ate in the giant atrium dining room and enjoyed every minute.

Sip & Paint- Moms Night

I've been lucky this past month or so to have the chance to get out and do some fun things with friends and neighbors!

A few weeks ago we went to an art studio for a Sip & Paint night.

We didn't know in advance what we were painting, but it turned out to be all the more appropriate since we are all Navy wives! Replicated a "Sailor Jerry" anchor design and added our own touches.

Lucky for us they both love the dentist!! No cavities!!

TBall Season Ends

Well, their 1st TBall season has come to a close.

It was a huge learning curve from the beginning to the end of the season.

We enjoyed each game and practice and they never complained about going!

Kids Run

A few weeks ago Maddy's school hosted a "Kids Run"!

Maddy was SO excited that it was her turn to run! 

She saw me with the camera and posed from afar :) Little ham!!

 Maddy adores her school friends!! And being military kids, will likely never see most of them again.

Kindergarten Graduation

Abby's class had their Kindergarten Graduation this afternoon!

Still one more day of school tomorrow, but its a FUN day with a BBQ lunch!!

(I packed my LAST lunch this morning.......8 weeks off for me!!!)

The kids sang songs & received their diplomas! 

We are SO very proud of Abby and all that she learned this year. She graduated with flying colors academically and I am excited for her reading to blossom over the summer!!
