Stuffed Toy Heaven

Abby still thinks it hilarous to bury Maddy in stuffed animals! It has been my encouragement to get rid of at least half now that I am repeatedly seeing how many we have. This is their only purpose these days. Good thing Maddy thinks it is hilarious! Can you spot her in the pile below???
It is exhausting dumping stuffed animals on your little sister......sigh.....

Fireman Abby

Our kid loves Firetrucks these days. She hears one goes by and her eyes get really big! And if she sees one she spots it out immediately (really she is hooked on Firetrucks and Schoolbuses...the easiest things to spot from the car!!)

Funny Abby saying #101

Me: "Abby, do you want to take a shower with mommy?"

Abby: "Yeah mom"

Me: "Okay, lets get your clothes off and get ready"

Abby: (as she runs to her bathroom)  "I have to go pee in the potty mom. I don't want to pee in the shower"

I laughed so hard. Glad she thought of it ahead of time!

Family Carnival

Yesterday we had a great visit to the Oceana Family Fest mini-carnival on base. It was FREE, and FUN!
Best of all Abby got to experience her first horse ride! SHE LOVED IT! I was so prepared for her to kick and scream the entire time. But she got right on and didn't think twice!
We met my friend Jen and her kids there, so we did the hayride together!
Me and my adorable chunky monkey!
And last but not least, a little face painting! She ate the cotton candy on the way home, that was a treat!

Musical tv

Abby is really into singing the theme songs to her shows nowadays! Today I caught her grabbing her princess horn as she tooted along with the programming music! YES, she puts the whole end of the horn in her mouth, but still blows and pushing down on the button and makes sounds! Little miss creative.

Felt Fun

I cleaned house this week BIG TIME since I had 3 events happening in this one week that I hosted at our house.....got a little booked up I guess. Anyhow, I came across Abby's felt set that I'd put up a while back. She jumped right in!

"I do it by myself"

Abby has attempted dressing herself lately at bedtime. She goes to her dresser by herself and knows that the bottom drawer has her PJ's in it. So she gets to pick out what she wears to bed, then brings it to us to help her put it on. This night she was proud that she got her princess pajama dress on all by herself.....sort of! It turned into a strapless dress and she started dancing around!

Abby playing in private...so she thinks

Mike caught Abby playing with her princesses in her kitchen the other day....it probably would have gone on FOREVER, but he interrupted, and her reaction to finding out someone was watching her the whole time is priceless! She gets so embarassed!

Launch Party Success

I hosted my launch party this afternoon at our house for my new business.
It went GREAT! I had 7 friends come, and it really paid off! They all loved the toys and only one of the seven had ever heard of the company. Here are 2 shots I got of my setup before the kids arrived and dug into everything! They had fun though, and thats what counts. As I put the toys on the table for the display, Abby came in and said "these Abby's toys mom". I said..."sure sweetie". I doubt the concept of these toys not staying in her toy room will set in for a while! She thinks that when they arrived last week and we opened it together, that they were gifts for her.

Cuteness Captured!

Mike caught her relaxing this morning on the floor after breakfast....

And being shy....."Dad....leave me alone"

Oh what a mess

We went to DQ the other night as a treat, and going in the drive thru Abby decided she wanted a treat too! So we got her a chocolate dipped cone. Needless to say, it was a mess. She ate the chocolate first (no surprise) then made it to some of the ice cream and some of the cone! She had fun!!
(This is her serious look.....)

Licking off a few spots of chocolate!!

'Lil Cook in the Kitchen

Abby showed an interest in cooking this morning after I made eggs for Mike and myself, she decided she wanted some too, but she insisted on helping. So I let her pour the beaten eggs into the pan, and stir them around! Then checked to make sure they were cooking up right, and then got to enjoy her creation!

Random Shots of the Girls lately

Got some cute off the cuff shots of the girls the last few days (and the dog!) Roxy loves to lick Maddy's hands....and Maddy finds her intriguing so she lets her.
Maddy loves watching and listening to Abby as she plays with her toy kitchen & doll house.
Oh so the other day Abby woke up from her afternoon nap. I went to let her out of her room and as I opened the door, the first thing she said was "come look mom". She wanted to show me that she put 10 or so stuffed animals in bed with her for naptime! She snuck into her closet and pulled them out. Apparently the closet is not a good hiding spot anymore.
Pudding lover!

They love laying in bed together! In my bed of course. And yes, I swear Abby is half-naked most times these days. She is still figuring out how to pull her pants up after going to the bathroom, so her solution is always to just take everything off below the waist if we're not right there to help. Hey, at least she goes!

Trip to the Richmond Childrens Museum

We made a daytrip up to Richmond to check out their Childrens Museum today (2 hrs away).
First we stopped for lunch at a cute diner, then headed to the museum.
This was the cutest exhibit! It was an apple tree, and you had to grab the apples from the tree (they were delivered via pipes to the holes) and then dump your apples in the main bin inside the tree and the machine would suck them up and disperse them to the many apple holes on the tree over and over! Constant entertainment.
Abby with her Apples!
Mommy & Maddy.....I told her to put her hands down but she didn't listen!
The Dinosaur.....Daddy had to make sure it was safe first!

Sisters for sure!

Here is a cute comparison of the girls!
At 6 months, Abby's stats were:
WEIGHT: 16.4lbs, HEIGHT 27"
So Maddy is a pound heavier and 1/2 an inch shorter! Its amazing their statistics are so similar yet she is so much chunkier! Funny how they turn out so similar yet so different.
Abby was sitting up at the end of 6 months...so Maddy will be there soon I'm sure!
Here is a cute photo of Abby at 6 months.....they are definitely sisters.

Oh the giggles

Abby LOVES making Maddy laugh! I swear some days it is her ultimate goal. She is very persistent and pulls out all the stops. At least my newspaper was recycled for a good purpose!!

Being Silly

Maddy had just finished her morning bottle and Abby finished her cereal, and pushed her chair over and got up so she could touch her feet to Maddy's. TOO CUTE!
Maddy playing in the toy room sucking on a play-kitchen spoon. Oh yes, the anything goes in the mouth phase!
