Mike is almost at the THREE month mark of being out to sea......2 weeks shy of hitting the 30% complete mark on this crappy cruise!
I can't believe it, yet I'm so glad time is passing, all the same.
Summer is nearing its end for us. The girls start back to preschool next week Sept 10th.
THANK GOODNESS!!!! This mom needs a break!!! And my 7 QUIET & UNDISTURBED hours to myself each week should surely help!
After visiting Spain and Greece, then a few weeks on the ship, Mike make a quick trip to Oman with the Admiral, then a 5 day port call to Bahrain with the ship.
Fortunately we got to skype/facetime nearly everyday at least once. It was difficult because of the time change, but it worked. The girls loved it.......so did Mike! The last day they were actually physically fighting and screaming over who got to hold the iPad and talk to daddy. Nice girls, glad you showed dad a little reality of the goings-on around here :)
His port call visit to Bahrain sounded uneventful. No tourist sights, just catching movies at the theater, and relaxing with some foreign food and booze! The usual these days.
So far all I have a photo of is the food.......Shawarma!
And he's back on the ship again! Just so your days don't ever seem too miserable in comparison, the temperature in Mike's stateroom on the ship is around 89 degrees fahrenheit. Yep, the a/c isn't pulling its weight. (Listen to the linked video clip to see/hear a blip from a new clock radio he bought that tells the time and current temp) Disturbing and sounds miserable!
