Mike spent the last 4 days in Bahrain on official business with the Admiral!
They are back aboard the ship now, but he shared two photos from a reception hosted on a Japanese ship while they were there. He said the great food and drink was endless, including delicious sushi of course!
(I particularly liked the cute food trays with a spot for your drink! So cool)
The Eisenhower staff maintains a great Facebook page where they regularly post photos of events and exercises of the fleet. I just wanted to share some recent ones so you can see the cool things they do and see on a regular basis! Aside from conducting missions, they celebrate individuals accomplishments, awards, and holidays!

Chief Petty Officer- Ceremony in the hangar bay
Great shot of the carrier with the sunset
An E2-Hawkeye launching off the deck
Helicopter performing an ordinance disposal exercise
The flight deck! Busy place!!!
Firefighting drills
Rescue/Assist mission for a stranded vessel abroad, bringing them water and supplies
Mail call!!!! Distributing the packages when a shipment arrives onboard
They also celebrate the holidays and events that affect us at home.......a 9-11 cake with ceremonies and tributes as well!
Just a small taste of what goes on aboard the vessels while they are deployed! Life as usual for them!
